The following numbers for Nottinghamshire’s lower tier local authorities were released at around 4pm on Saturday.

Ashfield – 210 confirmed cases

Bassetlaw – 178 confirmed cases

Mansfield – 111 confirmed cases

Newark and Sherwood – 130 confirmed cases

Nottingham city – 567 confirmed cases

Rushcliffe – 160 confirmed cases

Throughout the UK, there are currently 215,260 confirmed cases of Covid-19.

A total of 31,587 people have now died in the UK after testing positive for coronavirus.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is due to update the UK on the progress of lockdown measures in a televised address at 7pm.

Among other things, he is expected to unveil a new slogan, telling the public to ‘stay alert, control the virus, save lives’.
