Coronavirus: Education open evening in Mansfield cancelled

The West Nottinghamshire College and Nottingham Trent University say they have "reluctantly" made the decision to cancel their joint adult education and university-level open evening.

The event was to be held from 5.30pm-7.30pm, at the Derby Road campus in Mansfield, on Thursday, March 19.

The move comes in response to a UK-wide bid to prevent the spread of Covid 19 virus.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the college said: "Whilst the college and university regret any inconvenience, the priority is always the welfare of students, staff and visitors."

Individual conversations with college staff, either face-to-face or over the telephone, about courses on offer can still be made.
