Coronavirus: Clumber Park closes to public after 'unprecedented' number of visitors

Bosses at the park near Worksop have said they have made the decision to close on Mother’s Day, Sunday, March 22 and Monday, March 23.
Run by the National Trust the former home of the Dukes of Newcastle is popular with walkers.

Hide AdA spokesman from the park said: “Due to an unprecedented level of visitors today, the decision has been taken to close tomorrow and Monday.
“The health of our staff, volunteers and visitors remains our top priority and we're following the government's social distancing guidance.
“The National Trust is urging people to avoid unnecessary travel and follow government guidelines on social gatherings.
“We are reviewing our options to ensure the safety of visitors and will keep you updated on our website and social media channels.”
