Coronavirus claims one more life at Sherwood Forest Hospitals

One more person has died at Sherwood Forest Hospitals after testing positive for COVID-19, latest NHS figures show.

This takes the total number of people who have died after testing positive to 61 as of 2pm today (April 13).

Nationally, a further 667 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 10,261.

Patients were aged between 17 and 101 years old. 40 of the 667 patients (aged between 37 and 98 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

The number does not give a true picture of fatalities overall, as it does not include deaths in care homes.

Sherwood Forest Hospitals runs King’s Mill Hospital, in Sutton, and Mansfield Community Hospital.

In the UK, a total of 11,329 patients have died in hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.
