Another patient died from coronavirus in Mansfield area while in hospital according to latest NHS figures

The Trust which runs King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton, Mansfield Community Hospital and Newark Hospital, reported that an additional person had passed way after testing positive for the virus while in their care.

This brings Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s total Covid-19 death toll up to 114, since the pandemic first hit back in March.

Across the country, a further 300 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospitals in England, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals up to 34,963.

The patients that lost their lives to the virus were all aged between 35 and 100 and eight people from the ages of 66 and 99 had known underlying health conditions.

NHS England confirmed the fatalities took place between September 28 and November 9.
