The latest government data from the week to January 16, reveals that virus infections are increasing in almost a dozen areas across the town.
In one Mansfield area, Covid-19 cases increased by a total of 112.8% despite strict measures which prevent non-essential shops from opening and households from mixing.

1. Mansfield Town Centre and Broomhill
In the week to January 16, virus cases spiked by 112.8% in Mansfield Town Centre and Broomhill. There were 83 more residents who tested positive for coronavirus in this period - up by 44 infections from the previous week.
2. Oak Tree and Ransom Wood Ward
There were 35 new coronavirus infections in the Oak Tree and Ransom Wood Ward in the week ending January 16. Cases were up by 14 from the previous week - a rise of 66.7%.
3. Market Warsop
Covid-19 cases were up by 57.1% in Market Warsop in the seven days to January 16 - a rise of 20 infections from the last recorded period. A total of 55 more people in the area contracted the virus.
4. Yeoman Hill and Maun Valley
There were 28 more residents who contracted coronavirus in the Yeoman Hill and Maun Valley area in the week ending January 16. Covid-19 cases were up by 55.6% in this period - 10 additional infections from the week before.
