Coronavirus: No further Mansfield deaths as 42 die across England
The coronavirus death toll in Mansfield has remained static after 42 more people died of the deadly bug across England.
According to the latest NHS figures, 124 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died under the care of the Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust- which runs King’s Mill Hospital, Mansfield Community Hospital and Newark Hospital.
However, this total has remained static for over a week.
Across England, 42 patients have died over the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 28,969.
Patients were aged between 22 and 100 years old. Six patients, aged between 60 and 94, had no known underlying health conditions.
The figures were provided by Public Health England as part of its daily breakdown.
However, they could be much higher as they do include deaths that occurred within care homes or the community.
