Coronavirus LIVE: First UK death as advice for people with ‘minimal’ symptoms changes
The first person in the UK has died from coronavirus, Royal Berkshire NHS Trust announced on Thursday.
The Trust said the patient had underlying health conditions. Until this point, the only other UK national to die from the disease was a passenger on the cruise ship Diamond Princess.
The Government's Chief Scientific Adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance, has also said he does not think a working vaccine will be produced in time for the coronavirus outbreak in this country.
