9. Sutton woman raises £500 for NHS heroes with 5k charity run
Lisa McLernon wanted to keep fit during lockdown and decided to take a shot at the Couchto5k programme. As her stamina improved, she saw an opportunity to raise money in aid of NHS heroes on the frontline and began training for a 5k charity run in nearby Brierley Park, Huthwaite. 10. Mansfield charities benefit from £18,000 business donation.
Fabric company Romo launched the Romo Community Fund, a new grant scheme working in partnership with Nottinghamshire Community Foundation. Volunteers from across Romo’s head office sites formed a staff panel and selected three local organisations to receive the community fund for 2020.
