Sutton Community Academy is celebrating after seeing the best ever set of A Level results achieved by students.

And the Sutton school has also seen an increase in top grades compared to last year, which recognises the hard work put in by students and staff after a unique and immensely challenging year.

Chris Clark, Assistant Principal, said: “We are delighted that the determination of our students in Sixth Form has been rewarded with a stunning set of results. The collaboration of our hard-working students, exceptional staff and supportive parents/carers has resulted in this successful day. We wish them all the best in the future as they join our distinguished alumni.”

One student, Molly Carswell, has been congratulated by the academy after achieving two A* and two A grades.

Andrew Wilson, Executive Principal, said: “Special congratulations go to Molly Carswell for achieving two A* and two A grades.

“Molly has been successful in her application to study History at Cambridge University and we wish her well the next stage of her education.”

Andrew added: “All our students who received their A-Level results at Sutton Community Academy today, Thursday, August 13, are set to progress onto further studies at university, through an apprenticeship, or start full-time employment.

“We are absolutely delighted that many of these students continue to break barriers and are the first in their family to attend university.”

The academy is part of the Academy Transformation Trust, whose partner academies in Nottinghamshire include ATTFE and The Dukeries Academy in New Ollerton, which is also celebrating its A-level record success.

Andrew said: “At Academy Transformation Trust, we strive to ensure that our students are challenged and supported through a superb range of high-quality courses which are continually developing in conjunction with our partner academies in Nottinghamshire.”
