Pupils send big letter to Sri Lanka pals

Year 8 students at Tibshelf Community School continue to develop their friendship with pupils at Thotogoda School in Sri Lanka.

As well as collaborating on a Language Leader project at Key Stage 4, these students have been keeping in touch with their penpals following modern languages teacher Emily Gunn’s visit to Sri Lanka in October.

The school has had ongoing links with Sri Lanka for four years and pupils have visited to help build a school there and teach English.

Students wrote a big letter and made Loom Bands, Friendship Bracelets which were made from multi-coloured elastic bands.
