Mansfield Woodhouse youngsters dig deep to learn about nature

Youngsters at Cherubs Mansfield Woodhouse, on Welbeck Road, have been looking at the life cycle of seeds and plants, along with what they need to help them grow.

Activities included preparing vegetable pots and planting seeds.

Sarah Hickling, nursery manager, said: “The children really enjoyed weeding the pots adding compost and selecting which seeds they wanted to grow.

“We will be having cookery sessions to use the home grown produce in our cooking and baking.”
