Now, 20 years later, the nursery has more than 120 families accessing childcare and early years education.

Nursery manager Paula Black said: “We had hoped to throw a big celebration with an open day for the community to mark our 20th anniversary.

“Unfortunately, due to current circumstances, we were unable to do this but really hope we can have a belated celebration when it is safe to do so.

“We have remained open during the lockdown to support our key worker families and things have gone really well.

“20 years to the day or when we first opened, we reopened our doors to more of our families as we began welcoming more children back again.”

The nursery is currently working towards its ‘Curiosity Approach Accreditation’.

Paula added: “We have transformed the setting into a beautiful home-from-home environment where children have the opportunity to learn, grow and develop while playing with authentic, open-ended resources as they explore, be curious and use their imaginations.

“Owner Sarah Jenkinson and her dedicated staff team work hard to promote and inspire a love of learning through play.”
