Forest Town Primary School pupils become published authors
Pupils from Forest Town Primary School in Mansfield - which is part of the Nova Education Trust - have been celebrating after becoming published authors.
The written work by 15 pupils in Year Three to Year Five was chosen for publication after they entered the Young Writers Magic Map competition.
Young Writers was established in 1991 with the aim of encouraging young people to engage in creative writing.
The 100-word story was a national competition and their work was judged against all entries from across the country.

Celia Smith, Executive Headteacher at Forest Town Primary School, said: "The competition challenged young, budding writers to craft a complete story in just 100 words, inspired by the theme of a magical map.
"Our students rose to the occasion with remarkable creativity and skill, producing imaginative tales that truly captured the spirit of adventure.
"We are immensely proud of each and every one of them. This accomplishment is a testament to their passion for writing, their creative flair, and their ambition.
"It's a wonderful example of what can be achieved when children are encouraged to explore their imagination and express themselves through words.

"Having their work published is a memory they will cherish for a lifetime and we can't wait to see what they write next."
