Best ever A Level results at Brunts Academy in Mansfield
Staff and students at Brunts Academy in Mansfield have been celebrating after securing their best ever A Level results.
As well as a 5 per cent increase in the number of students achieving A*-A, A*-B and A*-C, there was also a 100 pass rate for the second time in the last three years.
Students have also been successful in securing places at a wide range of top higher education institutions to further their studies.
Martin Fiddimore, head of Sixth Form, said: “There has been much anticipation and trepidation around these results with the current situation and how grades have been awarded, as well as how this may affect the future of our students.
"It is fantastic to know that the hard work of staff and students has paid off and we wish all our students the very best as they embark on the next stage of their lives”.
Lewis Edmunds is going on to study Aerospace Engineering at The University of Sheffield after achieving an amazing three A*’s and an A.
Lewis said: “I am delighted with my results, the teachers at Brunts were incredibly supportive and have enabled me to progress to the course I have always wanted to study at university”.
Another student celebrating their success is Sophia Stewart, who achieved an A*, two A’s and a B.
Sophia said: “I couldn’t be more excited to start a career in Law at Durham University as this is what I always wanted to pursue.
"I am massively grateful to the Brunts Academy for seven amazing years.”
