Sutton Community Academy has gained its first-ever ‘Good’ Ofsted rating, including ‘Outstanding’ elements, following an inspection in November 2016. The report states “pupils, parents and staff are almost unanimous in their praise” for the academy, which is part of Academy Transformation Trust. Leadership is rated Outstanding. An Outstanding rating was also given for ‘personal development, behaviour and welfare’, with Inspectors noting that pupils “develop in to confident, articulate and enthusiastic young people, who aspire to achieve the very best they can”.
Academy Transformation Trust Further Education [ATT FE] is part of the same multi-academy trust working to deliver LIFELONG learning to the local and wider communities (Ashfield, Mansfield, Ollerton, Newark & Sherwood) for learners who are aged 16+.
ATTFE gained ‘Good’ Ofsted rating in June 2017 for all elements including 16-19 study programme, marking them out within the local community. Senior leaders are identified as ambitious for learners. Ofsted stated that a “a strong community ethos pervades ATTFE. Tutors know their learners well and they provide very good support to help them progress and achieve”.
