Director and Specialist Optometrist John Duffy said: “We take our glasses and vision so much for granted, but for most they are essential for all daily activities, however if glasses break or get lost, or if people develop symptoms of eye problems or blur in their vision the normal routes to get this sorted may not currently be available.

“The measures we have in place will help to alleviate the pressure on GPs and hospital services and allow people who have concerns to speak to a qualified eye expert.”

In addition to the normal practice number 01623 622021 Duffys have set up a new help line number at 07309 555337 which anyone can call for advice.
