Time Running Out to Nominate for Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship Awards
Time is running out for businesses, training providers and apprentices across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire to submit their entries for this year's Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship Awards, with nominations closing on Tuesday, 29 July.
Now in its fifth year, the awards have become one of the region's leading celebrations of apprenticeship success, recognising the outstanding apprentices, employers, mentors and training providers helping to develop the workforce of tomorrow.

With 14 award categories, the awards shine a spotlight on individuals and organisations that are investing in skills, creating career opportunities and making a lasting contribution to the region's economy. Whether recognising an apprentice who has exceeded expectations, an employer committed to developing talent, or a training provider delivering exceptional support, the awards celebrate excellence across the apprenticeship community.
Being shortlisted or winning provides valuable recognition, raising the profile of both individuals and organisations while celebrating the positive impact apprenticeships have on businesses and local communities.

Gemma Fildes, HR Director at Vaillant and Glow-worm, sponsor of the Training Provider / Programme of the Year category, said:
"We're delighted to be sponsoring the Training Provider / Programme category in the Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Awards this year. Championing high-quality training in the region is key to developing the future workforce, particularly within the heating industry. We're proud to support an event that celebrates apprenticeships and recognises individuals who demonstrate dedication, talent and the ambition to build successful careers. It's a fantastic opportunity for apprentices to receive the recognition they deserve as part of a wider community."
Last year's Training Provider / Programme of the Year award was presented to Nottingham Trent University in recognition of its outstanding apprenticeship provision DA-DN Apprenticeship Awards - Training Provider-1.jpg
Supporting around 2,000 apprentices and working with more than 500 employers, Nottingham Trent University has earned a national reputation for delivering high-quality apprenticeship programmes that combine academic excellence with real workplace experience. Its collaborative approach with employers ensures programmes remain relevant to industry needs while helping apprentices develop the skills required for long-term career success.
The awards continue to grow each year, reflecting the increasing importance of apprenticeships in tackling skills shortages, supporting economic growth and creating opportunities for people of all ages.
Nominations are open to apprentices, employers, colleges and independent training providers. Dedicated categories also recognise employers, mentors and training organisations that go above and beyond to support apprentice development.
Entries must be submitted online at www.dnapprenticeshipawards.co.uk.
The winners will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony on Thursday, 1 October, at the Crowne Plaza Nottingham, bringing together the region's apprenticeship community for an evening of celebration, networking and recognition.
To be eligible for the apprentice categories, nominees must live, work or train within Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire and have been enrolled on their apprenticeship programme for at least 12 months before the event. Entries may be submitted by the apprentice, employer or training provider and will be assessed independently against published judging criteria.
