ARBA Property Group, the company behind the Stockwell Gateway improvements has revealed that Taco Bell, Tim Hortons, and Domino’s Pizza will occupy the restaurant facilities.
The group’s £12M proposals to revitalise the former bus station got the green light by Mansfield District Council’s Planning Committee in November.
Richard Burns, ARBA managing director said: “We’re delighted to share this good news, it brings internationally-loved brands to the development, shows confidence in Mansfield town centre and provides exciting alternative dining options.
“The ARBA Group brought the hugely-popular Capo Lounge to Mansfield town centre and we are confident the new outlets will also become firm favourites.”
Taco Bell, is a world-famous Mexican-inspired restaurant brand, and is set to create 30 jobs.
Tim Hortons is a Canadian brand selling coffee, baked good and snacks. With stores across the UK, Mansfield is part of its Midlands expansion. Domino's Pizza will relocate from across the road to a new purpose-built building.
As well as the restaurants, the plans also include a six-storey, nationally-branded, 100-bedroom hotel with breakfast lounge, car parking spaces, pedestrian access to the existing Walkden Street car park, and revamped pedestrian links to the Four Seasons Shopping Centre.
Mansfield Mayor Andy Abrahams said: “We are delighted to be welcoming these renowned brands to Mansfield, where they will widen the choice available to residents and visitors.
“Securing these popular national and international food and drink establishments for Stockwell Gateway, shows confidence in Mansfield and will serve as a catalyst for future growth and investment.
“The regeneration of this key site will contribute to the council’s long-term plans around Growth, Aspiration, Wellbeing and Place and will be instrumental in supporting the town centre through an increased number of visitors who will spend more time and more money in the town centre, helping to support our local economy.”
Nikki Rolls, the chief executive at Mansfield Business Improvement District said: “It’s brilliant to see these well-known brands seeing the potential that Stockwell Gateway offers. We know ARBA Property Group has a track record of successfully bringing projects to fruition, so it will be great to see the site take shape and help to usher in a new era for the town centre.”
