On the 8th of April at the One Call Stadium, Mansfield public relations agency Parker PR is staging a fire walk to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and is inviting other local businesses to take part.

Graham Parker is Creative Director for Parker PR and says the challenge presents a great team-building opportunity for businesses.

He added: “We are looking for corporate teams to take on the challenge of their lives, to overcome their inner fear and achieve something remarkable - to walk on a bed of hot coals.

“A team of highly skilled and experienced trainers will work with and prepare everyone for the challenge. Imagine the immense satisfaction to be gained from achieving that amazing feat and the unity it will give the team; and then imagine the value of the support that will be given to families of people living with cancer as they get help from MacMillan Cancer Support.

“ Everyone committing to the challenge will agree to raise a minimum £150 in sponsorship - it takes over £900 a week to pay for a MacMillan nurse.

“Why not get together a team of colleagues or friends to support each other and achieve something great together?”

There will be a bar on during the evening and family and friends are welcome to attend. There will also be a professional photographer taking shots of people completing the challenge.

This event is not being organised by Macmillan Cancer Support but is part of Graham’s campaign to raise £6,800 for the charity in memory of his father who died from cancer four years ago ; all sponsorship will go toward that campaign.
