Pleasley business feeling proud after coming up trumps at wedding show
A touch of real life behind the scenes of a small local business.
Cakefields Cakes and Teas Rooms, at Meden Square, Pleasley came up top trumps at Mansfield Civic Centre Wedding Show on Sunday, 8th March 2026.
Organised by Love Wedding Shows, they were awarded the prize for Favourite Exhibitor.
A message from the owner.
'Wow what a day.
'From starting with nerves and a touch of anxiety (anyone who knows me knows I hide in the kitchen), I met so many lovely brides and grooms as well as some very talented new suppliers.
'And to top it off, we were voted Favorite Exhibitor which was such a wonderful surprise and I will be inviting Suzanne Pugh round to drink it with me for a job well done!
'I may be a little quieter in the next couple of days whilst I email all the lovely potential brides and grooms, but want to say a big thank you to @loveweddingshows for a great day, the lovely Suzanne for being my wing woman and kicking me when it was needed, and The Wedding HQ for moral support from two stands down.'
