Nottinghamnshire employers to meet His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent

A number of Nottinghamshire employers are set to meet His Royal Highness (HRH) Prince Michael of Kent GCVO at an Employer Engagement Reception later this month.

During the event, which takes place on 25th April, employers will have an opportunity to speak to Reservists currently serving in the Armed Forces, network with representatives from other organisations and meet HRH Prince Michael of Kent GCVO, in his role as Honorary Rear Admiral and Commodore-in-Chief Maritime Reserves.

The event has been organised to raise awareness about the value that Reservists, from each of the military services, can bring to the civilian work place.

Many of the employers attending the event currently employ Reservists or have employed Reservists in the past. Reservists develop a wide variety of skills and qualities that can be transferred to local businesses such as team working, leadership, organisational skills, reliability and confidence among other factors.

Julia Tabreham, Non-Executive Director, at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “As the Mother of two serving RAF Airmen, I am acutely aware of the remarkable job our Reservists do for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and for the Country.

“I am very much looking forward to this important event and to the wider opportunity to support Trust Reservists and Regulars as an area of special interest for me in my Non Executive role at the Trust.”

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust currently employs six Reservists at the City Hospital and 13 Reservists at the Queens Medical Centre.
