Consisting of four proposed phases, the £250 million development, which is being built on land part-owned by Nottinghamshire County Council, will feature up to 1,700 new homes – of which 30 per cent will be affordable – as well as 190,000 sqm of employment floor space and 31,000 sqm of commercial space.

With phase one of the project progressing well and due to deliver the first 530 housing units to the site, the D2N2 funding will go towards phase two of the development involving the construction of a spine road to serve the wider development and the surrounding area.

Work on phase two is due to begin in January and be completed by March 2022

Lindhurst is just the latest capital investment D2N2 has made in Mansfield and follows investments into the redevelopment of the town’s Old Town Hall and the Allied Health Care Provision facility based at Vision West Nottinghamshire College.
