Mansfield businesswoman left speechless by award nomination

Sam Hallett, founding director and business protection specialist of Enable Life has been shortlisted in the start-up entrepreneur of the year category in the midlands region of the 2020 Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Sam said: “I recently received an email from the awards organisers saying that I’d been shortlisted for the award.

“I was absolutely speechless when I heard the news and am very, very proud.

"Whatever happens from here on in is just a huge bonus!”

Sam established Enable Life, a specialist insurance broker, in April 2019 after she made the decision to resign from her previous corporate role to concentrate on her health after suffering from a suspected chronic illness.

Sam continued: “Health and wellbeing, including financial wellbeing, is now an absolute passion of mine.

"My story is far from unusual and with my company I want to help our clients avoid the mistakes I made and protect themselves, their businesses, employees and families.”

An awards spokesman commented: “Despite a very tough year, we had a phenomenal number of applications and it’s clear that entrepreneurial spirit is very much alive and well and we’d like to congratulate Sam for all she has achieved so far.”

Sam will find out if she has won on September 23.
