With the debate over the free school meal scheme hitting the headlines, companies throughout our area have come forward with offers of help during the holidays.
Here are all the companies who have advertised that they are offering a free meal to anyone in receipt of the government’s Free School Meals scheme.

1. Golden Cod
The Golden Cod posted to their page: "During school holidays, us at Golden Cod understand times are hard.
"We've decided to help low income families who would usually get free school meals by providing these children with a portion of chips and sausage or chips and fishcake free of charge."

2. Tibshelf Fish Bar
As half term is here, if any parents are genuinely struggling to feed their children from Tuesday-Saturday Lunchtimes 11.30-2pm
We will provide a children’s sausage and chips free.

3. Sid and the Spoon
The owners of Sid and the Spoon in Mansfield Woodhouse posted on their social media page: "Any family struggling to feed the children during half term, please private message our facebook page, there is no amount of hardship that would stop us from giving them a free meal."

4. Kick
Liga Shaw wrote: "Kick wants to help.
"No child will go hungry during the holidays.
"If your child is in receipt of free school meals, ask us for a "Free Lunch"
