Sara-Lee Burton and Paul Steven rode to the rescue of The White Swan in Pleasley in June last year after the sudden departure of its previous tenants left it empty for six weeks.

Sara-Lee Burton said: “We took the time to renovate the pub, with the main improvement being the new beer garden on what was previously just overgrown grass going straight onto a busy road.
“We have been absolutely blown away by the response we have had, everyone loves it.
“We've had so much praise we feel well and truly humbled - I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing it feels to have got it right.

“We love this pub and our customers - its such a fantastic community, we just hope that we can keep going amid these uncertain times.”
The pub also launched their new menu this week.
Laura Allcock said of a recent visit: “First time we’ve been for something to eat while Paul and Sara have been there and it was lovely, really nice and relaxed atmosphere.
"Will definitely be going again, well done to you both - your beer garden is amazing.”
