Mansfield hair salon 'so happy' to be able to open

The manager of a Mansfield salon which had its start date pushed back due to Covid-19 is excited to finally be able to open to customers.

Hair and beauty salons were relieved when the government finally announced they would be allowed to remain open in all coronavirus tiers.

Halo Hair & Beauty in Clipstone are more thrilled than most at the government’s decision to change the rules, after months of campaigning by salon owners around the country.

They had planned to open the new salon on Cavendish Way on November 4, until the Government announced a month-long lockdown.

Manager Jessica Allen finally gets to open the doors of the new salon on December 2 after months of preparations.

She said: “We’re so happy to finally be allowed to open.

"We were so disappointed when our original opening date was ruined by the second lockdown and have worked hard to make sure the salon is safe for our customers.

"We can’t wait to open our doors.”
