Wayne Swiffin, who runs Mandatum PR in the town, has just launched www.livescelebrated.co.uk as a standalone service for residents.

Wayne, who has worked as a journalist and PR consultant for the past 25 years, said the idea is that he will use his listening, writing and storytelling skills to create a cherished document that tells a person's life story.

Wayne, who previously worked on your Chad and other titles in the East Midlands and represents a range of businesses around the Mansfield area, said: "My 25-year career has taught me that everybody has a story. Sometimes though, that story is never told because no-one asks the right questions and those memories are then lost forever.

"Ordinary people may not think they have lived a life of a celebrity or sports star, but that doesn't mean that their lives aren't as fascinating.

"Often, people simply don't know where to start or how to link together different chapters in their life story."
