Ashfield Careers Fair 2026 was busiest one yet
More than 800 jobseekers and students descended on Kirkby as the Ashfield Careers Fair was once again a huge success.
Ashfield District Council’s annual event had around 900 jobs, apprenticeships and training opportunities up for grabs at Kirkby Leisure Centre.
The day saw more than 60 businesses come together for the free event, held in partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions.
It was supported by headline sponsors Matthews and Tannert Ltd and Mansfield Radio.

Jobseekers were able to find out more from businesses including East Midlands Rail, GlenAir UK Limited, Boneham and Turner Ltd, Amazon, Everyone Active, Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Vaughandale Construction Ltd.
Coun Matthew Relf, the council’s Executive Lead for Growth, Regeneration and Local Planning, said: “Our Ashfield Careers Fair was another fantastic event with so many people supporting it once again.
“It was great to see so many businesses come together under one roof to support people across Ashfield to find their dream jobs and get on the career ladder.
“We would like to thank everyone who exhibited and attended our fair and we look forward to doing it again next year.”
Ashfield District Council is committed to supporting employment and training in the district and will continue to champion Ashfield as the place to be for businesses and transformation.
