Voice of Dalek at Library

The man who is the voice of the Daleks and other formidable characters on the iconic television show Doctor Who is visiting Mansfield Library on Sunday.

Nick Briggs is one of the special guests at a family fun day from 11am-3pm.

He will be talking about his work during a session in the auditorium as part of a day to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who.

There is also an action packed programme with lots of workshops and activities with a Doctor Who theme.

Other special guests include Richard Kirby – author of Desperately Seeking Susan Foreman, who will take part in a talk and book signing session and Tom and Friends – who include two Daleks, Madame Du Pompadour, the Silence and David Tennant Cosplayers.

Nick Briggs said: “I’m very much looking forward to coming to Mansfield Library to talk about my work on Doctor Who, both as the voice of many monsters and as a writer and producer of Doctor Who audio drama.

“I’ve loved the series for as long as I can remember, so this 50th anniversary year is a hugely exciting time for me.”
