Tickets go on sale for The Vaccines at Nottingham Capital FM Arena

Platinum-selling indie rock band The Vaccines are to play in Nottingham during a winter tour, with tickets going on sale today (Friday, April 24).

The group will be performing at the Capital FM Arena on November 20.

Expect to hear tracks from their third album, English Graffiti, which is released on Columbia Records on Monday, May 25.

Their previous album, Come Of Age, reached number one in the UK album charts on release in 2012.

In 2013, The Vaccines were nominated for a Brit Award for Best Live Act, alongside The Rolling Stones, Muse, Mumford & Sons and Coldplay. They were also nominated for two NME awards: Best British Band and Best Album.

The Vaccines have played with and have toured extensively, opening up for acts such as The Rolling Stones, Arcade Fire, The Stone Roses, Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Muse amongst others.

Their music is influenced by 50s rock ‘n’ roll and 80s American hardcore.

Formed in 2010 in London, the band comprises lead vocalist/guitarist Justin Hayward-Young, lead guitarist Freddie Cowan, bassist Árni Árnason and drummer Pete Robertson.

Their debut studio album, What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?, was the best selling long player of 2011.

Tickets for The Vaccines at Capital FM Arena went on sale at 9am on April 24 and are priced at £28 (including administration fee).
