Thriller play back on Royal’s stage

The Gentle Hook, with Andrew Lloyd-James as Brad Morris and Andrew Ryan as Philip Morrison.

This intriguing play, written by Francis Durbridge, tells the story of Stacey Harrison, a woman who seems to have everything in life; charm, intelligence, sophistication and a highly successful career.

But when she kills an intruder in her home, cracks start to appear in her story and a gripping thriller unfolds that is bound to have audiences on the edge of their seats all over again.

It is returning to the Theatre Royal by popular demand from Monday 24th February to Saturday 1st March.

And fans of the Classic Thriller Season, now coming up to its 26th consecutive year, will be delighted to see some very familiar faces returning to the Theatre Royal’s stage in this production, including Adrian Lloyd-James (Brad Morris), Susie Telfer (Madge Harrison), Chris Sheridan (Alan Kyle), Angie Smith (Stacey Harrison), Andrew Ryan (Phillip Harrison), Richard Sheridan (Charles Venner), George Telfer (Lennox) and David Gilbrook (Gerald Waddington).

Karen Henson, co-producer of the play and a regular on the Theatre Royal stage herself, said: “The Gentle Hook went down a storm when we performed it as part of our Classic Thriller Season last summer, and we can’t wait to bring it back to Nottingham for another week.

“Audiences can expect intrigue, suspense and a thrilling finale guaranteed to have them on the edge of their seats!”
