Stagefright put on a Bedroom Farce

A 1970s farcical comedy is coming to Create Theatre for a double showing this month.

Bedroom Farce by Alan Ayckbourn features four married couples in what is a hilariously bleak view of middle-class marriage.

Roving neurotics, Trevor and Suzannah, parade their problems around the bedrooms of the three other couples, showing up the fissures in other people’s marriages.

The show, performed by the local Stagefright Theatre company, is coming to Create on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th November.

Clever use of time and space makes this a very intricate and sophisticated comedy.

Theatre co-ordinator Adam Pownall said: “We’re delighted to have local dramatists Stagefright performing as part of our season at Create.

“It proves not only are we a home for the best in professional touring theatre, but we are also a platform for local, community and amateur arts provision.”

Tickets for the show cost £6 and are available on 01623 413363 or by visiting www.createtheatre.co.uk
