Sarah Patrick School of Dance performers ready to show off their talents on the Mansfield Palace Threatre stage
Performers at a South Normanton dance school are gearing up to show off their skills on the big stage.
The talented entertainers will display their fancy footsteps at Mansfield’s Palace Theatre during the Sarah Patrick School of Dance’s annual ‘Showtime’ performance.

The popular night of dancing will run for three nights between April 2-4 and feature a range of genres such as ballet, tap, jazz, disco, commercial and musical theatre.
“There’s a lot of excitement that the big day is coming,” said Sarah Patrick, who has been organising shows for more than two decades now.
“The younger ones love the new experiences and the older ones, who have been with us for many years, are loving it just as much.
“I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful cast and team of teachers working with me. We do love it at the Mansfield Palace Theatre.”
The show will offer a variety of different experiences for the cast, with some of the performers taking an important step on their journey to become a professional entertainer.
“It’s a great chance for everyone to show what they can do and to live the dream. Everybody just enjoys dancing together,” added Sarah.
“It is lovely to see students that go off and fulfil the dream of dance. Some of them go on and just do different things in life and have enjoyed the dancing journey while they have it. We have had quite a few students who have gone off and become professional.
“You have to start somewhere and it is a good stepping stone. It is wonderful to be a part of that journey.”
As part of the show the dance group, which is located on Church Street, will also be raising money for the Derby and Burton Breast Clinic and the Stroke Association.
Tickets, priced £14, are still on sale via the Palace Theatre box office.
