Samantha Womack and Mary Mac join the cast for Jack and the Beanstalk at Nottingham Theatre Royal
Nottingham Theatre Royal and pantomime producer Crossroads Pantomimes have announced that stage and screen favourite Samantha Womack and acclaimed cruise and cabaret queen Mary Mac will join the cast of this year's Christmas panto Jack and the Beanstalk.
They join the previously announced broadcaster, barrister and author Rob Rinder as The Spirit of the Beans and returning Nottingham pantomime favourite Neil Hurst as Simon Trot.

Samantha Womack, who will star as Mrs Blunderbore, has starred extensively in television, film and theatre, and has recently completed the UK tour of Dear England, playing team psychologist Pippa Grange.
Her television credits include Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders, Tanya in three seasons of Mount Pleasant, Ingrid in Home Again, Ruth in Babes in the Wood, Imogen in Imogen’s Face and Mandy in the hugely popular Game On.
Samantha has also starred in Forgiven, The Last Detective, Strange, Judge John Deed, Liverpool 1, Pie In The Sky, The Grimleys and BBC1’s hit series Silent Witness.
Mary Mac, who will star as Dame Trot, is one of the UK's busiest and best-loved cabaret performers.
Known for her quick wit, powerful vocals and crowd-pleasing performances, she regularly entertains audiences in theatres, cabaret venues and aboard cruise ships around the world.
Her stage credits include Everybody's Talking About Jamie (UK tour) and La Cage Aux Folles (Regent's Park Open Air Theatre), while she recently concluded a 12-year run as resident Dame at the Royal Spa Centre, Leamington Spa.
Mary has also toured the UK and Europe alongside drag superstar Bianca Del Rio.
Dan Baxter, interim venue director at the Theatre Royal, said: “We're delighted to welcome Samantha and Mary Mac to Nottingham.
"Samantha is a hugely respected performer whose television and theatre work has made her a household name, while Mary Mac is a wonderfully talented entertainer who is guaranteed to have audiences laughing from the moment she steps on stage.
"Together with Rob and Neil, they make for a fantastic line-up, and our audiences are in for a real treat this Christmas."
Jack and the Beanstalk is on at the Theatre Royal from Saturday, November 28 until Sunday, January 3.
