NOWMADS hop aboard the Carousel this week

Award winning drama group NOWMADS (Nottingham West Music and Drama Society) has received a funding boost courtesy of county councillor Philip Owen, writes Peter Jordan.

Following months of rehearsals, NOWMADS is staging Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical Carousel this week and generous funding of £250 from Cllr Owen from his Divisional Fund has given the group a timely boost.

The group’s chairman Gillian Williams and Graham Lambert, who is directing the production, said “Staging a production of the magnitude of Carousel is very costly and represents a real challenge for us and the continued support from Coun.Owen is greatly appreciated.”

Carousel is being staged at Kimberley School Theatre until Saturday October 31.
