Following the news that Mansfield’s Palace Theatre would remain closed until 2021, comedian and performer Adam Moss wrote and produced his ‘COVID Christmas panto on a budget’, which is showing this Friday.

Because many children have missed out on any semblance of normality this year, schools across the town have been given permission to screen special advanced performances, which have been a massive success.

Members of Berry Hill Primary School watched the show on Thursday, and the youngsters even donned masks of Mr Moss to help them get into the pantomime spirit.

"COVID-19 has put a lot of the normal festive activities on hold but the fantastic PTFA team and Mrs Davis worked closely together to ensure the children didn’t miss out on a pantomime this year.

“The children have previously enjoyed going to Mansfield Palace Theatre to enjoy the festive show so when we saw Adam Moss was doing a virtual pantomime, we knew it would be an instant hit with the children.

“The children across the school loved getting involved with the show.
