It’s history with all the horrible bits left intact
They’re back! The Horrible Histories team returns to Derby Theatre from May 5-9.
They are back in the area with two great new shows, following up last year’s successful visit.
In Incredible Invaders, the Celts are crunched when the Ruthless Romans invade Britain. Can crazy Caractacus save the nation? See the Savage Saxons smash their way in and find out who’s at Sutton Hoo! Will you survive the Vicious Vikings as they sail into the audience?
The other half of the evening is Groovy Greeks. From savage Sparta to angry Athens, discover the truth about growing up in Greece. Take on the Trojans! Pummel the Persians! Compete in the first ever Olympic Games and appear in the very first play!
Horribles Histories: Incredible Invaders and Groovy Greeks is perfect for those aged five and over.
Using actors and 3D Bogglevision special effects, these two new shows are guaranteed to thrill you. Historical figures and events will come alive on stage and hover at your fingertips.
The touring production by Birmingham Stage Company is based on Terry Deary’s massively popular series of history books for youngsters, later spun off into a BBC TV series.
