Exciting times at the Palace

It may be a cliché, but there really is something for everyone at Mansfield Palace Theatre in the run up to Christmas this year.

From family fun with Gulliver, to an audience with Anita Harris, whatever your age or interests, there will be something to your taste at the beautiful venue in the coming months.

As always, the music programme is full and varied, with many artists returning due to popular demand. These include The Drifters, The Bee Gees Story, Mercury, Lee Memphis King as Elvis and Talon, who perform the best of the Eagles.

You can also see Rock ‘n’ Roll Paradise, The Irish House Party, The Blues Brothers Experience and Barry Steele as Roy Orbison and Friends.

Comedian Dave Spikey returns with his Punchlines tour on September 26. Dave believes that it is part of our national character for everyday conversations to end in laughter and will present evidence to support this.

Swansea City Opera present Mozartissimo on October 11, an enticing production which transports audiences back in time to an 18th century salon, with elaborate classical costumes and ravishing music.

World-renowned psychic and star of TV’s Psychic Sally, Sally Morgan returns with her live show on October 13.

You can expect scandal and showbiz, 1940s-style, from Miss Nightingale – The Musical on October14.

This acclaimed musical is now on its fifth UK tour and promises to make you laugh, cry and cheer for more.

London Classic Theatre present Samuel Beckett’s masterpiece Waiting for Godot on October 20.

This is a play which moves seamlessly between comedy, burlesque and drama.

Join CBeebies star Tree Fu Tom and his friends on an action packed adventure through the magical world of Treetopolis, on October 28. Full of fun, music and laughter, Tom will need your help with the Tree Fu moves to save the day.

Jane Austen’s Emma is visiting on November 3. Emma Woodhouse is handsome, clever and rich. It is clear that she should be a matchmaker, but what does she truly know of her own heart?

Circus of Horrors – Welcome to the Carnevil comes to the Palace on November 19. It features Killer Klowns, sword swallowers, demon dwarfs and death defying aerialists, plus a Guinness World Record holding diva swinging solely from her hair, back-flipping fire limboing acrobats and lots more.

As is tradition at Mansfield Palace Theatre, the season ends with a festive family treat. This year’s pantomime is Aladdin. The Pay Now Save Now ticket offer to save £1 per ticket expires on Saturday.
