There are activities for children and young people of all ages in QUAD in Derby over the Easter holidays.

Free Family Fun Game Days are a chance to join QUAD staff in a festival game tour. Become a master sleuth and photo detective in this unique and fun way of experiencing FORMAT15. Be introduced to the FORMAT ‘Detect’ game and create your detective identity and explore FORMAT venues and art works in this mixed-reality game. Family Fun Game Days take place Wednesday, April 1 and 8. Just meet in QUAD from 10am until 1pm or again from 2pm to 5pm on each day.

The FORMAT International Photography Festival Detect game is also free and available to play any day until April 12. In the game, a priceless photograph has been stolen and it will be your task to recover this image and bring The Collector to justice. Receive missions from FORMAT HQ and taunts from The Collector to find clues leading to the photographs location. Complete on and offline missions Detect missions and you will find yourself as part of a ‘Hall of Fame’ in FORMAT Festival. See more information at www.formatfestival.com/detect

Families can also get on their bikes to explore FORMAT Festival Photo Trail Bike Scramble. Join the FORMAT Team in collaboration with The Park Bikeworks for cycling photo trail around the city’s exhibition venues. The trail takes place on Monday, April 6, leaving from Park Bikeworks at 11am and lasts until 4pm. The trail is free but booking is recommended.

In QUAD Cinemas, Big Hero 6 and Shaun The Sheep: The Movie will be screening daily for Cine Kids until Sunday, April 12. Please check the QUAD website for film screening times. All tickets are £3.50 for Cine Kids Club members, Cine Kids family membership is available at QUAD Box office for a one-off fee of £12.
