Dame’s last pantomime

Nottingham Playhouse’s legendary dame is back for one last panto after 30 years of bringing the traditional festive shows to the stage.

Kenneth Alan Taylor is starring as Dame Daisy in Jack and the Beanstalk - the same pantomime he began his career with decades ago.

He said: “Thirty years ago I could never have imagined that I would still be presenting and appearing in panto at the Playhouse three decades on.

“I feel so fortunate to have been doing something I absolutely love for thirty years, and for that I must thank the Nottingham audiences who have given me such support and pleasure over all these years.

“As always I cannot wait to be up on the Playhouse stage doing the thing I love best.....pantomime.”

Kenneth has been writing pantomimes since 1962 and over this time has perfected the pantomime triple whammy of writing, directing and performing.

His work has inspired audiences and pantomime performers alike, and he is seen as one of the most influential pantomime practitioners working in the UK today.
