Brecht’s chalk circle is drawn again

Fans of the work of Bertolt Brecht will enjoy the chance to see The Caucasian Chalk Circle being performed at Nottingham’s Lace Market Theatre until March 21.

Brecht’s play is being directed by Max Bromley and is presented by Lace Market Youth Theatre in a new translation by Alistair Beaton.

Calling on the ancient tradition of the corn circle, a comical judge tries to resolve a dispute. But in a culture of corruption and deception, who wins.
