Award-winning new play comes to Crich venue

Crich Glebe Field Centre is to play host to a performance of an award-winning new play by a local writer in June.

Unforgettable can be seen at the venue on Sunday, June 14, from 7.30pm. It is written by long-term Fritchley resident Tim Elgood and presented by New Perspectives Theatre Company.

It’s the most unexpected things that rekindle the unique bond between brother and sister. An ageing parent is one. Alzheimer’s is another. But ‘life’s too short’. There are new places to go, new people to meet, and new discoveries to be made - not least between brother and sister and their family experiences, past present and future.

Unforgettable is about the unique relationship of a brother and sister, Jed and Rosie, as they face life’s major challenges together. Moving in and out of different time frames, the play explores memory, change and loss in a rich and inventive way.

Unforgettable was the winner of the New Perspectives Long Play competition in 2014. Tim’s first play, A Stone’s Throw from Edward, was performed at Buxton International Arts Festival by Fritchley school children, and won the Granada Foundation Award. Tickets are on sale, available by calling 01773 853260 or emailing [email protected]
