Talented trio at Queens Head

Harp and a Monkey will play The Queens Head, Belper, on Saturday, May 23.

Not many bands can claim to have a published historian in their ranks but Harp and a Monkey are that exception. With musical roots deeply embedded in their native Lancashire, it is no surprise then that their subject matter ranges from the Spanish Civil War to World War One.

At times hypnotic and trance-like and at other times rousing, the trio perform a unique blend of psychedelic folk with their American followers quick to recognise them as an ‘Incredible String Band for the 21st Century’.

Admission is £7. Doors open at 8.15pm.
