A group of singers, simply named as the Community Choir, will be showcasing their talents to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust charity.

Formed in 2012 by Charlotte Bullock, who lives in Eastwood, the Community Choir, which is based at Brinsley Parish Hall, is staging two concert performances entitled Legends.

Following months of rehearsals, the singers, whose ages range from six to over 70, are almost ready to delight their audiences.

“As the title of the concert suggests, the choice of songs will serve as a tribute to the all-time great performers who have enriched people’s lives over many years,” said choir secretary Nicky Norman.

Legends is being staged in Brinsley Parish Hall on Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12. Doors open at 7p.m and tickets are priced at £5.

For further information, contact Charlotte on 07581 020959 or Nicky on 01773 715460.

Nicky Norman added: “Our repertoire should appeal to everyone for we have a programme that includes numbers by Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Louis Armstrong, Oasis and Coldplay among others.

“A live band will be playing during performances and there will be a raffle for the Teenage Cancer Trust, which is the charity nominated by the majority of the choir members.”
