Paloma puts her faith in our Sherwood crowd
This London lass is as well knwn for her off-the-wall costumes and hairdos as she is for her music, but she brought both together in perfect harmony in the stunning forest setting.
Performing as part of the Forest concerts season, she was accompanied by support act Marquis Toliver who entertained the relaxed crowd with his mellow soulful tunes in the early evening sun.

Paloma’s set was bright and classy, just like her, and her almost all female band were as enthusiastic as she was.
She sang her heart out with accompanying signature arm-wafting and sensual dance moves - climbing onto the piano at one point in bare feet and flashing her pants to the pianist (male).
She dutifully and excellently delivered all her hits - Never Tear Us Apart, Picking up the Pieces, New York and Stone Cold Sober - from her two albums to date.

We did like it, and all of her other numbers too.
She was chatty and entertaining with the crowd and won us all over with her rendition of a Leeds accent, picked up apparently during a short spell working there alongside Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs. Small world eh?
She knew how to play a northern crowd, she knew how to put on a show, and she knows how to sing.
A winning combination for a top night out in Sherwood Forest.
We went away very happy indeed - oh, and it didn’t rain either. Perfect.
