Organist Paul is to entertain at town club again

The latest Belper and District Organ and Keyboard Club concert takes place in the town on Saturday, May 16.

The performance will feature the welcome return of Paul Carman.

For many years, Paul was from Hinckley, Leicestershire, but due to an offer in his musical life too good to refuse he had to relocate to Elmswell in Suffolk.

His relocation enabled him to become managing director of the Elmswell Organ Company and head of Orla Direct, the Italian organ manufacturer.

Paul still finds the time to travel extensively in the UK and Europe, playing on their fabulous instruments.

A club spokesperson said: “You are assured of an evening of the very best popular music from the 40s to the present day with the odd vocal thrown in for good measure.”

The spokesperson added: “All this, together with Paul’s personality and sense of humour, guarantees an evening not to be missed.”
