Nottingham Harmonic Choir Christmas concerts

Nottingham Harmonic Choir are set to perform two Christmas carol concerts in Nottingham during this festive season.

The civic choir of Nottingham will be performing at the Royal Concert Hall on Saturday 21st and Monday 23rd December at 7pm.

The programme they have put together includes songs that range from contemplative to rousing, with traditional carols to more modern Christmas numbers all to feature, as will music written by choir president John Morehen.

The Thoresby Colliery brass band will again add their own Christmas warmth to the concerts, and, as in other years, children in the audience will be invited on stage to charm everyone with their singing of Away in a Manger.

Tickets for the concerts cost from £9.50 and concessions are available.

The Royal Concert Hall box office can be contacted on 0115 9895555 or at www.trch.co.uk.

A choir spokesman said: “The two carol concerts will end 2013 with a flourish, and we look forward with anticipation to performing Symphony No.2 by Mendelssohn with Sinfonia ViVA on 12th February 2014.”
