New WhiteMoor album bursting with top tracks

The waiting is over for WhiteMoor fans with the release of the band’s eagerly-awaited third album.

Pause And Effect follows in the footsteps of their previous two albums - the self-titled debut and Horizons - but takes the five-piece band, which features members from Belper, Ripley, Derby etc, in exciting new directions.

By the band’s own admission, the album -featuring 11 original tracks - is a bit of a step into heavier territory, but this is a positive development, as even the briefest listen to Pause And Effect will show.

This is a punchy, tuneful collection from a talented band who have rightly gained a devoted and rapidly increasing following from this area, and across the UK.

From the epic-sounding opening bars that herald the powerful first track Hollywood to the insistent keyboard line that drives A Cage For The Animals, this collection is bursting with intriguing riffs, lyrics, and ideas.

It’s not all crash bang wallow though and the more reflective side of the band’s music is present in tracks such as the closing number, Until Tomorrow.

Pause And Effect is out now on Belper’s Sound-Hub Records. For more on the band and how you can get hold of the album, go to www.whitemoor.co.uk
