New exhibition will deliver the goods
The new British Postal Museum & Archive (BPMA) touring exhibition Pop it in the Post: Your World At The End of the Street will be hosted by Mansfield Museum.
This family-friendly exhibition can be seen until Saturday, November 21, and explores the new and sometimes quirky ideas that made the mail accessible to all.
Children and adults alike can discover the story of the letter writing revolution, enabled by the introduction of the world’s first stamp, the Penny Black, in 1840, and the UK’s first pillar boxes in 1852.
